Carey Mummaw

Carey serves as the Senior Director of Annual Giving for Appalachian State University, where she leads strategic initiatives to drive sustainable philanthropic growth.

Beyond the office, Carey champions causes that support women, especially those focused on building confidence. She is also committed to community development, serving on the Board of Directors for Watauga Habitat for Humanity.

When she isn't cultivating donor relationships, Carey spends her downtime cultivating her garden, exploring for antique treasures, and hosting gatherings for family and friends. Carey was born and raised in Charlotte and lives in downtown Boone with her fiance (Brooks), dog (River), and cat (Ipa).
